*Russia remains India's largest crude supplier in August: Kpler data*

India’s imports of crude oil from Russia are expected to turn out to be around 2.1 million barrels per day (mbpd) in August, down sharply from the record levels of around 2.6 mbpd seen in July and June this year, the fresh data from maritime intelligence and research firm Kpler shows. Despite the decline in August, Russia remains India’s largest supplier, accounting for more than 40 per cent of the import. The Nifty IPO Index has outperformed the broader market so far this year in 2026 with a rally of 18.44%. In contrast, the benchmark Nifty 50 has declined more than 7% year-to-date.
