Latest update on 7 Jan 2022:

Email reply from Lawyer RT (RajahTann). They have asked the court to approve the names of JM (Judicial Management). Estimated process will take approximately 7 to 14 days from 3 Jan.

While FIN888 founder talking to a Singaporean Lawyer friend, he said brokerage's actions were correct, choose a 3rd party as the executor of the task while they are being investigated. The main goal is to secure the company's assets. Protect the interests of investors.

Secondly, with JM, operations can resume as usual. Until the brokerage can return to work.

JM maximum's duty is 180 days unless the court gives permission to extend. Hope that the investigation will be completed before 180 days.

1. The brokerage is being investigated for potential offences under Section 82 of the Securities and Futures Act 2001, which prohibits any person from carrying on a business in any regulated activity without a capital markets services licence. There is difference in between potential offences and found guilty.

2. Probably to avoid any other potential offences, it’s wisely to suspend operation in the meantime. There is daily penalty $15,000 as well if they continue operation while being convicted.

3. CopyTrading is legit. Haven’t concluded if it’s really scamming or money game or ponzi scheme. Investor should know how to interpret the current issue.

4. Like many of you, we all frustrated with this issue especially happened at the beginning of the year. Let’s hope it will be settled soon and come back stronger.
